QR Snap: QR Scanner

Summary: QR Snap scans QR codes, can save selected results locally on your device,
and lets you generate and share QR images. Analytics and crash reporting are optional and remain
disabled until you consent.

3. What We Do Not Collect for Analytics
- Scanned QR code contents
- Generated QR content payloads
- Photos or camera image data
- Personal account information, because QR Snap does not require an account
4. How We Use Data
- Read QR codes from the camera or imported images
- Show context actions such as opening links, composing emails, or opening Wi-Fi settings
- Store scan history locally when you choose to keep a result
- Create, share, and save generated QR images
- Improve reliability and usability through optional analytics and diagnostics
5. Analytics and Crash Reporting
QR Snap uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These services are disabled by default until you opt in during onboarding or later in Settings.
You can withdraw consent at any time from the app’s settings screen.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Data leaves your device only in these cases:
- You explicitly share scan content or a generated QR image using your device share sheet
- You opt in to Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics
7. Data Retention
- Local scan history: stored until you delete the entry or remove the app
- Generated QR images saved to gallery: stored until you remove them from your device
- Crash reports: retained by Firebase Crashlytics according to Google’s retention practices
8. Your Choices
- Grant or deny camera permission through your device settings
- Enable or disable analytics and crash reporting in app settings
- Delete scan history items individually from the History screen
- Remove saved QR images from your photo library at any time
9. Children’s Privacy
QR Snap is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised update date.
